Withdrawal of groundwater may lead to subsidence in the surrounding area. It is of important relevance to lay down the zero situation in height of fragile or non-piled buildings prior to the work. Any subsidence can then be monitored during and after the execution of the work.
Prior to the commencement of the work, level markers are fitted to the walls at the corners of buildings. The height of these markers is measured from a fixed point in the vicinity. During each measurement subsequently taken, the level markers fitted for the zero and check measurements are measured again. The values and height differences thus measured are laid down in a summary of results. By means of repeated measurements it is thus easy to check whether subsidence has occurred.
Our tenders for taking height measurements are project-specific.
